First visit

Diagnostic assessment

  • Diagnostic exploration allows us to get to know each person in greater depth and therefore guide the treatment to be carried out more precisely.
  • We collect information from the family and the school through interviews and questionnaires.
  • We conduct sessions with the child, adolescent or young person, and their family through observation and the clinical interview, together with the administration of standardized tests, in which the different areas of development are analysed. These may include intellectual capacity, neuropsychological assessment, personality, emotional and affective management, as well as family and social relationships.
  • We select the most appropriate tests from the repository of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit, made up of more than 160 active psychological tests.
  • We prepare the reported results, supervised, and contrasted by several professionals.

Results report and therapeutic guidance

  • We define a Diagnostic and Therapeutic Guidance that allows you to understand and address the situation in a clearer and more focused way.
  • We define therapeutic guidance in a personalized way, which may include psychoeducational guidelines for the family, the necessary psychological and/or an educational and learning support treatment, and psychopharmacological treatment in cases where it is necessary.

Personalized treatment

  • We provide individual psychotherapy treatment by the psychology team, allowing us to select the professional who we consider to be the best fit.
  • We provide specialized treatment for educational and learning support.
  • We provide pharmacological treatment with the team of children and adolescent psychiatrists.
  • We guarantee coordination between professionals in the psychological, the learning and educational service support and psychiatric fields of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit to make a multimodal approach possible.

Family and school counselling

  • Family visits are carried out on an ongoing basis in constant contact with the professional from our Unit.
  • We propose specific sessions for fathers and mothers in cases where it is necessary to go deeper into parental guidelines or family dynamics.
  • We do coordinate continuously with the school in all cases where it is considered appropriate to carry out a comprehensive approach.
  • We answer your questions about the treatment started and its progress.
