Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a psychotherapeutic approach based on the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Its goal is to identify and modify dysfunctional patterns of thinking and behavior that maintain emotional distress, promoting more adaptive and effective coping strategies.

In individual psychotherapy, I specialize in the treatment of emotional and mood disorders, grief and bereavement, self-esteem and insecurity issues, anxiety disorders, and obsessive disorders, including panic attacks, generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety, and difficulties with social skills.

I also have a particular interest in the treatment of chronic stress and burnout syndrome, as well as difficulties arising from personal and professional self-demand and emotional exhaustion.

Techniques used: cognitive restructuring, systematic desensitization, exposure therapy, behavioral activation, social skills and assertiveness training, relaxation techniques, among others.
