El Dr. Luis Aliaga (D.E.P), an anesthesiologist specialized in Pain Management and Doctor of Medicine and Surgery, was the founder and coordinator of the Pain Clinic at Centro Médico Teknon. He was also the founder of the Pain Clinic at Hospital de Sant Pau, where he chaired the scientific committee of the Intensive Theoretical-Practical Courses on Nerve Block and the Pain Update Conferences between 2000 and 2007. He also served as co-director and lecturer of the Master’s Degree in Pain Management at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (1991–1999), and was the driving force behind and organizer of numerous courses and congresses, as well as the author of countless articles, lectures, and scientific communications.

Clínica del Dolor Teknon – Instituto Aliaga is currently coordinated by the current president of the Sociedad Española del Dolor, Dr. Víctor Mayoral Rojals, an anesthesiologist specialized in Pain Management. Dr. V. Mayoral also works at the Pain Clinic of Hospital Universitari de Bellvitge, where he serves as coordinator. He has been actively involved for many years in scientific and educational activities and is the Spanish Councillor of the European Pain Federation EFIC. An international pioneer in the use of ultrasound in pain management, he is widely recognized for the Ecodolor courses, which have helped train many national and international specialists. His research activity, both as a promoter and investigator in competitive and non-competitive studies, keeps him at the forefront of new diagnostic and therapeutic options in the field of pain management.
