Mónica María Furlano

Dr. Mónica Furlano is a specialist in Nephrology and maintains a private practice at UROS Associats, located within the Centro Médico Teknon (Quirónsalud), where she treats patients with kidney disease, particularly hereditary kidney diseases and highly complex cases, in collaboration with the Urology team. She is the head nephrologist of the Hereditary Kidney Disease Clinic at the Puigvert Foundation, a center belonging to the European ERKNet network. A graduate of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, ​​she focuses her clinical and research activity on polycystic kidney disease, Alport syndrome, Fabry disease, and other genetic kidney diseases. She is the principal investigator of a project funded by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III, director of the Master's Program in Hereditary Kidney Diseases, Secretary of the GTERH (Group for Hereditary Kidney Diseases) of the Spanish Society of Nephrology , Coordinator of RenHerCat, and a member of the European Renal Association.
