Environmental and Energy Policy

1. PURPOSE

The mission of Quirónsalud Group ("the Group") is to care for people's health and well-being, which in turn requires caring for the environment around us. Through our environmental commitment, we seek to protect ecosystems, as they are fundamental to our well-being. Quirónsalud Group's environmental sustainability model focuses on protecting our environment, as it is essential to ensuring the health and well-being of the population.

2. OBJECTIVE

Aware of the urgent need to continue advancing environmental protection, and guided by the Group's purpose of "building together a sustainable future of health and well-being for people," our sustainability model promotes the protection of our environment, which is essential to public health. It contributes firmly to combating climate change, minimizing waste, supporting the transition to a circular economy, and generating a positive impact.

We are strong advocates of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established through the UN Global Compact. Likewise, we take into account the environmental objectives established by the European Commission, adapted to the healthcare services provided by the Group:

• Protection and restoration of biodiversity and ecosystems

At Quirónsalud Group, we are committed to sustainable development and continuously work to make a positive contribution to environmental sustainability by focusing on key material and impact-related issues for both our stakeholders and the Group itself. These include climate change adaptation and mitigation, energy consumption, water management, and the transition to a circular economy and effective waste management.

This Environmental and Energy Policy, in line with Fresenius Group's Environmental Policy, establishes our commitments and priorities regarding responsible environmental management across our facilities and the continuous improvement of our environmental performance, with the aim of promoting the sustainable development of our activities while respecting the environment.

3. SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Environmental and Energy Policy applies to all Quirónsalud Group activities, regardless of their nature or the facilities where they are carried out. It applies to all employees and collaborators of the Group's companies, as well as to anyone acting on the Group's behalf.

In addition, the Environmental and Energy Policy must be known and understood by customers, suppliers, and all value chain stakeholders that interact with Quirónsalud Group.

The Group's Executive Committee is responsible for ensuring the implementation of this Policy throughout the organization and for establishing relationships with third parties that are part of our value chain and share similar values.

As evidence of our commitment, we ask all employees, collaborators, and external stakeholders to report any actual or potential breaches of this Policy directly to the Group Management or through the established Whistleblowing Channel: Canal de denuncias | Quirónsalud.

4. GENERAL PRINCIPLES

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT: Sustainable development requires balancing economic growth, environmental protection, and social well-being, thereby ensuring a prosperous future for everyone. It also promotes conditions that positively impact health by reducing pollution, improving access to essential resources such as water and food, and fostering safe and equitable environments that help prevent disease and improve quality of life.

ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY: According to the United Nations Global Compact, environmental sustainability refers to the ability to preserve and improve natural resources in order to achieve greater ecological balance. In the business context, it means conducting business in a way that generates financial returns while creating long-term environmental value. This commitment contributes to preserving natural resources for present and future generations.

EFFICIENCY: Quirónsalud's commitment to efficient resource management translates into the optimal allocation of financial and human resources to improve operational efficiency and ensure the long-term sustainability of both the Group and the healthcare sector.

COMMITMENT AND RESPONSIBILITY: In accordance with the requirements of Fresenius Group's Environmental Policy and in line with our own sustainability objectives, we are committed to identifying and managing both the environmental and social impacts of our activities. We also prioritize preventing and reducing negative impacts while promoting greater environmental responsibility.

TRANSPARENCY AND REGULATORY COMPLIANCE: We regularly monitor our environmental performance and establish environmental objectives and targets, ensuring that the necessary information and resources are available to achieve them. We are committed to reporting our environmental data transparently, consistently, and comprehensively. We also ensure compliance with all applicable national and international environmental regulations and legal requirements relevant to our activities.

COLLABORATION: We aim to lead the transition toward a more responsible and sustainable business model across both our own operations and our value chain. We expect our suppliers to support this approach and comply with the requirements of the Fresenius Group Business Partner Code of Conduct, the Quirónsalud Group Code of Ethics and Conduct, and our supplier qualification process.

TRAINING AND AWARENESS: To raise awareness of environmental issues and the measures related to them, we provide environmental training to our employees and encourage knowledge sharing with our business partners.

5. FRAMEWORK FOR MATERIAL ENVIRONMENTAL ASPECTS AND IMPACTS

Our objective is to continuously improve our environmental performance while preventing, eliminating, or mitigating (in that order of priority) negative environmental impacts and enhancing positive ones, such as improving air quality through the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

To achieve this, we are committed to the systematic identification, assessment, and management of actual and potential impacts on the environment and on people who may be affected by our operations. We address associated risks while seeking opportunities for the Group, such as the adoption of innovative technologies. We implement ISO management systems, comply with applicable environmental legislation, and develop action plans aligned with Quirónsalud Group's strategy and the commitments adopted by our parent company, Fresenius Group. In addition, we measure our environmental performance through monitoring indicators and establish objectives to effectively manage our environmental impacts.

We also implement appropriate measures to prevent incidents and emergency situations. Should such situations occur despite these efforts, we take immediate action to eliminate negative environmental impacts. Where this is not possible, we strive to mitigate them.

5.1. Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation

We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint, which we monitor annually, and have established emissions reduction targets aligned with the Paris Agreement.

We have defined key performance indicators to monitor the parameters contributing to the Group's carbon footprint, developed action plans, and adopted measurable initiatives to minimize and mitigate our climate impact. To this end, we continuously strive to improve energy efficiency and promote the use of renewable energy sources throughout our operations and value chain. We adapt our activities and facilities to climate change and are committed to monitoring the physical and transition risks relevant to our business.

5.2. Responsible Water Management

We are committed to the responsible use of water, particularly in facilities located in water-stressed areas. We regularly monitor water consumption across all our facilities, seeking to reduce it while fully complying with current healthcare and hygiene regulations. To contribute to the conservation of marine and aquatic ecosystems, we comply with all applicable wastewater regulations.

5.3. Transition to a Circular Economy and Waste Management

We are committed to the efficient use of resources by supporting the transition to a circular economy. Our objective is to maximize the useful life of materials, reduce waste generation, and increase the proportion of recyclable materials within our waste streams. We also promote waste hierarchy and waste segregation as fundamental principles of our procedures, ensuring a greater proportion of recyclable materials in our waste streams.

Through the implementation of innovative technologies, we seek to improve resource consumption management, reduce waste, and maximize the useful life of the materials used in our operations.

We are committed to promoting the digitalization of healthcare services as a key tool for optimizing the efficient use of resources and supporting the transition to a circular economy. In this way, digitalization not only contributes to more efficient and accessible healthcare but also reinforces our commitment to sustainability and responsible resource management.

Likewise, wherever regulations permit, we prioritize sustainably sourced, renewable, and recycled materials as alternatives to virgin resources, encouraging the development of more sustainable products throughout our supply chain.

6. INTERNAL CONTROLS

As part of regulatory requirements and the Group's Quality Plan, we have established monitoring indicators for our environmental and energy efficiency objectives, which are reviewed regularly. In addition, internal audits are conducted across our hospitals and healthcare facilities to identify opportunities for improvement and minimize significant potential risks.

7. APPROVAL AND REVIEW

This Policy is approved by the Environmental Committee by consensus of all its members, who undertake to review it at least every three years, or whenever regulatory changes, strategic developments, or newly adopted commitments make such a review necessary. The Policy is subsequently ratified by the Group's Executive Committee.
